Club
Our mission is to unite families raising twins and multiples of every background and identity across South East London, through inclusive community, practical resources and powerful advocacy.
Our story
SE London Twins+ has existed for 15+ years as a small group of parents and carers looking to connect, share experiences, and find others who truly understand life with twins and multiples. Today, we’re a community of over 400 families across South East London.
At the heart of what we do is our free weekly playgroup in Peckham Rye, with a cosy baby corner, space for toddlers and children up to five, and plenty of tea, biscuits, and friendly conversation for grown-ups.
Beyond playgroup, we bring families together through expert talks, peer support, and opportunities to pass on preloved clothes, toys, and equipment — because with multiples, there’s always more to share.
We also host subsidised family events throughout the year, including our popular “Twin Takeovers”, and run quarterly Expectant Parents' Evenings to help families prepare for life with multiples.
Everything we do is shaped by our community and powered by volunteers, creating a welcoming, supportive space where no one has to figure it all out alone.
Our Aims and Objectives
To host a free to attend weekly community playgroup offering a stay and play environment with a cosy baby corner, play area for toddlers and children up to the age of 5 and an opportunity to chat to other multiple birth parents over a complimentary cup of tea
Periodically invite professional consultants and others with lived experiences to playgroup (and/or other locations/events) to speak about various topics including breastfeeding, sleep and twin life
Encourage a broad means of community network engagement, peer to peer support, advice, shared experience and communication in person and online via mainstream social media platforms
Provide a means of passing on and/or buying/selling preloved items of clothing, toys and equipment
Plan and host a range of subsidised family events e.g. festive party, picnics and “twin takeovers” at local businesses across London
Host a quarterly Expectant Parents Evening to obtain practical tips on having twins/multiples and meet other multiple parents
In delivering the above, we will maximise the opportunity for fundraising and pursue appropriate funding streams where possible

Weeks of playgroups in 2025
Last year, we hosted our Friday playgroups EVERY week of the year, except Christmas, ran by our amazing volunteers.

Twin Takeovers in London
We had the most wonderful time working and playing in fun filled spaces across London through our 'Twin Takeovers'. In 2025, you could find a twin buggy or two parked outside Coffee Cup House Softplay in Crystal Palace, Mud Club Twin Takeover in Clapham, Raffy Play Cafe in Beckenham, ArtPlay Pavillion in Dulwich and Gootopia in Brixton for our twin alumnis and many more!

Expectant Parents' Evenings
Our team favourite is planning and hosting the expectant parents' evening. We love sharing and exchanging stories and getting to know new members and welcoming them to the joy that twin parenting can be!
